Heat Pump vs. Furnace: Which Is Better for an East Bay Home?

The core difference

A gas furnace burns fuel to create heat. A heat pump moves existing heat from one place to another, which takes far less energy — and it works in both directions, so a single heat pump both heats in winter and cools in summer.
